Communication
Official Kendall College Library communication with KCAD Students, Faculty and Staff is delivered to the email address assigned through the FSU system. The Library does not send communication to personal email addresses. If you have difficulty with your assigned FSU email address please talk with Tech Services on the 4th floor or contact TAC- the Technology Assistance Center.
CIRCULATION POLICIES - Students
- You must present your Kendall/Ferris ID Card to check out all Library materials
- BOOKS - Books circulate for 3 WEEKS
- Books may be renewed one time for an additional 3 weeks, provided that another patron has not requested it.
- You may renew BOOKS online via your Library Account.
- You may renew books at the Library circulation desk. You do not need to have the items with you.
- GRADUATE STUDENTS have the same circulation policies as undergraduate students.
- If you are a Graduate Student and KCAD Adjunct Faculty, your classification with the Library is GRADUATE STUDENT. You will be fined and billed for overdue and unreturned materials.
- MEDIA - CDs, CD-Roms, DVDs, and Videocassettes circulate for (7) days and may not be renewed.

CIRCULATION POLICIES - faculty
- Pleaset present your Kendall/Ferris ID Card to check out all Library materials
- BOOKS - Books circulate for a SEMESTER LOAN.
- When a book is requested and a HOLD placed by another patron, the loan period is reduced to (3) weeks.
- You will receive an EMAIL. Please return recalled material ASAP.
- GRADUATE STUDENTS have the same circulation policies as undergraduate students.
- If you are a Graduate Student and KCAD Adjunct Faculty, your classification with the Library is GRADUATE STUDENT. You will be fined and billed for overdue and unreturned materials.
- MEDIA - CDs, CD-Roms, DVDs, and Videocassettes circulate for (7) days and may not be renewed.
LIMITED ACCESS
The library maintains a NON-CIRCULATING collection of Magazines & Journals, Bound Periodicals, Reference, & Special Collections.
RESERVE MATERIALS
Reserve materials placed in the library by your instructor are held behind the Circulation Desk. To access reserve materials, please present the following information: Teacher's name, class name, title of item, author of item, nature of material, etc.
Please Do NOT reshelve books, magazines or CDs, DVDs, or videos once you have removed them from the stacks. . When you have finished with them, please leave materials on the tables or bring them to the circulation desk.
The Library maintains a networked Black & White photocopy machine in the library and a coin operated photocopy machine outside the Library. Copies are 10 ¢ each. Please pay at the Circulation Desk.
Color copiers/printers are located on the 4th and 7th floor of Kendall. Please ask at Tech Services for help.
RETURNS
Please return your Library materials at the Circulation Desk during open Library hours.
The book return outside of the Library is for AFTER HOURS returns only.
Please return your MeLCat materials at the Circulation Desk during open Library hours.
