CAMIO - The Catalog of Art Museum Images Online — is a growing online collection documenting works of art from around the world, representing the collections of many prominent museums. CAMIO includes: Architecture, Costume, Decorative Arts and Utilitarian Objects, Drawings, Jewelry, Paintings Photographs, Prints, Sculpture, Textiles, and Watercolors

The next link is for the Bridgeman Art Library - over 100,000 art images from major international museums, galleries and auction houses. Finally, there are over 40,000 links within Grove Art articles to important art images in galleries and museums around the world.

The New York Public Library Digital Gallery provides access to over 480,000 images digitized from primary sources and printed rarities in the collections of The New York Public Library, including illuminated manuscripts, illustrated books, historical maps, vintage posters, rare prints and photographs, magazines and newspapers as well as original prints and postcards, and other printed ephemera.




The UM Image Source has created a gateway that allows the user to search multiple image collections available on the web. Click on “Collections” to access and search the image collection. There are some limitations on reproduction and use of some of these images.
